I went hiking, fishing, and cycling in the area, but my favorite activity was trying to locate Wellington Airport from there. Such a thrill!
Oh, how I missed the daily continental breakfast at Matador Motel. It was so inconvenient not to have it readily available in Cape Palliser.

The hotel was a convenient base for enjoying a lovely area, close enough to the township and restaurants. We booked family room with chocolates, a seperate toilet plus modern ammenities. A microwave oven, an electric kettle and a refrigerator were an advantage. The atmosphere created was family👍
No negatives from this place.

As longer term business travelers, we loved the recently refurbished unit with secure parking and Netflix. The central location made it easy to access local amenities and shops. The unit was clean and functional, with quality linen and utensils. The friendly staff even upgraded us to a unit with a bigger bed at no extra charge. It was the best accommodation we had during our week away from home.
Felt like a true getaway, no complaints.

Stayed at this excellent motel for a family reunion and had a great experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was cozy and warm, especially with the electric blanket. The hosts, Colleen and Barry, were friendly, helpful, and caring. Their dog was a joy to be around. We appreciated the little extras they did for the kids, like leaving windmills and hiding painted rocks. The motel is spotless and equipped with everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was nice and warm. Having an electric blanket was a great touch. the owners of the motel were friendly, helpful, and caring. They made us feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. the location of the motel was perfect, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. It was also centrally located for exploring the surrounding area.
The night lights on the property were too bright and shone through the curtains, making it difficult to sleep. the double bed in our room was too small for average-sized individuals and had a noticeable sag in the middle.

Review:
the location was perfect, as it was close to the sporting tournament we went to and within walking distance to the township. the room was very clean and warm, with all the usual amenities. the staff at check-in were lovely and very helpful, providing us with information about the town. the only downside was that the bathroom was cold during showers with no heating.
